The Castle
The heart of the estate, the Castle blends old-world character with refined comfort. The main residence features four spacious guest bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom, offering privacy and ease for couples, families, or wedding parties. All bedrooms are located on the second floor, with elevator access available.
One of the four rooms is an expansive suite featuring two queen beds and a separate sitting area—perfect for gathering, relaxing, or preparing for the day’s celebrations. Throughout the home, timeless architectural details, warm gathering spaces, and views of the surrounding forest create an atmosphere that feels both elegant and welcoming.
The Stone Cottage
Nestled on the lower portion of the property, the Stone Cottage offers a cozy and charming retreat surrounded by nature. Full of rustic character, the cottage features four bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, dining area, and a seasonal sunroom perfect for slow mornings and quiet evenings.
The upper level includes two queen/full bedrooms and two single rooms tucked beneath charming low ceilings, creating an intimate cottage feel. The home also includes a full bathroom upstairs and an additional full bath on the main floor, making it well-suited for families, friends, or small groups staying together during events and retreats.
The Caretaker’s House
Located near the center of the estate, the Caretaker’s House offers comfortable and private accommodations with easy access to the grounds and main gathering spaces. The home includes two bedrooms, a kitchen, dining area, and living room, creating a cozy and functional space for overnight guests.
Sleeping arrangements include one queen bed and two single beds, making the house ideal for small families, retreat facilitators, staff, or additional guest accommodations.
The Estate
The Painter Hill Castle estate spans 300 private acres of pristine Hudson Valley landscape, offering guests space to explore, gather, and unwind. Guests can enjoy the pool, jacuzzi, and surrounding patio spaces, or wander across the property’s wooden bridge overlooking the Sandburg Creek below.
The expansive grounds also offer opportunities for outdoor recreation and sporting activities, including hiking, snowshoeing, mountain biking, ATV riding, hunting, and exploring the property’s diverse natural terrain.
